February 17, 2021—Acclaimed French psych-rock band La Femme’s new single and video, “Le Jardin,” is debuting now. The track is their first sung entirely in Spanish, watch/share the video HERE. The video is part of the band’s full-length film, which will be released later in the year following their upcoming third LP, Paradigmes.
“This is kind of an old-school slow dance which underlines how fate can be random and fragile,” the band explains of the track. “The moments we go through, sometimes very sudden, from shadows to light, and vice-versa. All of this, in a Romanesque scenery of the historic city of Sevilla, where the Holy Virgins are omnipresent on the walls, overlooking at mankind and its madness.”
Paradigmes is set for release April 2 on Disque Pointu/IDOL and includes previously released tracks “Paradigmes,” “Cool Colorado,” “Disconnexion” and “Foutre le bordel.” Pre-order the album HERE.
Paris-based La Femme was established in 2010 by Sacha Got and Marlon Magnée, releasing three EPs together ahead of their critically acclaimed debut LP Psycho Tropical Berlin (2013) which earned them the highly coveted Victoires de la Musique award. A second LP, Mystère, was released in 2016, which along with its predecessor was certified Gold in France. La Femme has toured extensively in the U.S., embarking on a nationwide DIY tour even before releasing their first album and going on to play festivals including ACL, Desert Daze, Voodoo Fest, Austin Psych Fest and more. Internationally, they have played major festivals such as Glastonbury, Sziget, Music Wins. “Geography must be important to us because of the fact we travelled quite a lot over the last few years, and different places brought different inspiration to us,” the band explains, “We like the folklore of places and what comes out of them.”
